Environmental Inequality

Environmental inequality seems to be an umbrella term for a range of different issues.

The most prominent being that minorities within various cities are often cast aside to live within areas that have been contaminated by pollution, they have cheaper products and are generally labelled as low income. Government initiatives that are rolled out, often seek to benefit areas that have no need for these campaigns yet the poorer areas are neglected.

Environmental issues are also related to biodiversity, such as EJF campaign which highlights the slow decay of marine life within bio-diverse reefs. It explains that millions of sharks are killed unnecessarily due to destructive fishing methods. This highlights that inequality can begin with our food-chain as well as the effects people as a whole can have on a countries natural resources.
