My solution defined

I have established that a current issue lies within British schools which shows an            in-equal scale in terms of children’s education. With growing pressure from Offsted in our primary schools, there is a divide between high performing students and those that do not meet expectations. Teachers can only support so many children at once so what happens to those that are falling behind.

Originally my solution revolved around the use of robots and the growing using of automatons in the use of hospitals and in some capacity, schools. I felt this technology, paired with the intellect of Alexa could be used as a way to supplement those students that were falling behind. After research, I have found that various limitations such as troubled children could possibly break the robot which would prove expensive, the robot would also have limited teaching capacity due to it physically only having access to what it can hold and its voice. It could also be hacked and accessed remotely which would cause various ethical issues such as a breach in privacy.

With this in mind, I thought out perhaps using holographic tech which could be paired with Alexa to help children that were falling behind. I feel this is a good idea for many reasons such as :

• This software would not have any cameras or software that could be accessed by external persons.
• A hologram offers various perspectives on a variety of subjects and has unlimited potential to show children different ethnicities, enhanced study and an alternative method of teaching.
• The device could be paired with voice recognition technology to interact to children’s questions and provide answers that could appear within the hologram.
• This hologram would essentially come from a box which would provide more protection that a robot would of.
